Datarec® 4 link modules
The central processing of all signal sources
The HEIM DATaRec® 4 link module is the central unit for configuring a measurement system with DATaRecĀ® 4 signal modules, power modules and storage units.
Via standard interfaces such as SAS, 1 Gb Ethernet, USB 2.0 or IEEE1394b, the different link module variants support various operating modes such as front end, stand alone recording or UDP broadcasting.
Due to the high data processing speed of the link modules, the supported modes of operation can be used simultaneously and hence, can tap into unforeseen possibilities of use. Each variety of the link module supports at least 16 signal modules.
Owing to the fact that the LMF4 models manage up to 32 signal modules, one can reach a channel number of 768 channels.
The model LMF1G offers the possibility to synchronize up to 3 LMF1G link modules, so that a data rate of up to 1.7 Gbit/s can be supported.
The DATaRec® 4 systems GSS and GSSr can be utilized to process this data rate and both are perfectly aligned to work with the DATaRec® 4 components.
These link modules are available in different versions.
LMF2FE - 2 signal module chains, front-end mode
LMF2FE+REC - 2 signal module chains, front-end or stand-alone mode
LMF2FE+REC+LEMO - 2 signal module chains, front-end or stand-alone mode
LMF4FE - 4 signal module chains, front-end mode
LMF4FE+REC+LEMO - 4 signal module chains, front-end or stand-alone mode
LMF2FE Link module
data rate 600 Mbit/s
interfaces: Gbit Ethernet, USB 2.0, IEEE 1394b
up to 16 (384 channels) Signal modules
Front-end mode
UDP broadcast
If a measuring system consists of more than one HEIM DATaRec® 4 signal module, the HEIM DATaRecĀ® 4 Link module acts as central system.
The HEIM DATaRec® 4 LMF2FE is the basic module in the series of HEIM DATaRec® 4 Link modules.
It supports a maximum of 16 cable-connected signal modules with a total of up to 384 channels and the stream of data to the PC (in front end mode) or via a UDP broadcast into a network.
Further link module versions with different additional functions are available.
