The Probe Microphone type 40SA is a small, compact unit for sound pressure measurements in small enclosures, in harsh environments and very close to sound sources.
The high acoustic input impedance of the probe tip minimises the influence on the acoustic field, while the stainless steel probe tube (the 160 mm tip) can withstand temperatures of 800 ºC.
The probe is constructed with a detachable probe tip in stainless steel that guides the acoustic signal to a microphone inside the probe housing.
The Probe Microphone is internally compensated to equalise the static pressure at the probe tip with the internal microphone pressure.
