- The G.R.A.S. Type 43AG Ear and Cheek Simulator represents the section of a head important for realistic reproduction of the acoustic properties of the ear of an average human head. This unit includes an IEC 60722 compliant ear simulator and pre-amplifier and comes as pictured
- It allows the use of an ITU-T type 3.3 pinna with a Shore hardness of 55 - 00 or 35 - 00 to be used with an IEC 60711 Ear Simulator (RA0045).

- Eight different KEMAR Ears are available for the Type 43AG: small - large and left - right in soft and very soft versions are available.
- The Type 43AG can be used for headsets, hearing aids, circum-aural headsets, mobile phones, etc. Coupled with a portable sound level meter, the realism of the ear and cheek simulator makes it an ideal tool for education of teenagers and adults on sound and noise exposure issues (e.g. such as bud type headphones and high volumes).
- The unique, modular platform used by G.R.A.S. allows the highest degree of mobility and quick adaptation to different test situations: all G.R.A.S. couplers can be fitted on the same platform, enabling re-use of the test base and preamplifier for multiple test setups:
