Making real ear measurements is a very time consuming procedure and to control the costs associated with this is where the Nor838 system can make itself pay. Keeping track of the visits of subjects to the test lab along with the ensuing open and all associated closed ear measurements on each type of hearing protector can be a nightmare. Thankfully it is solved by the Nor838 system!
 

You can perform subjective method testing for hearing protectors according to ISO 4869-1. Norsonic has a complete Test System for ISO4869-1 measurements & reporting including the necessary 4 channel excitation equipment and accessories.
 

The test system provides reports with octave band attenuation results and Assumed Protection Values (APV) for each Hearing Protection Device (HPD) as well as individual results for the test on each test subject. From these results the High-, Medium- & Low attenuation values (HML*) - & Single Number Ratings (SNR*) ratings for the HPD can be easily achieved. The standard SW produces Excel reports with the octave band attenuation values for all individual test persons. Additionally, Norsonic can provide calculation of the SNR and HML methods enabling results for all 3 methods directly.
