Data Acquisition : : KAM-500

- ACRA CONTROL is an international leader in airborne data acquisition hardware and services.
- The KAM-500 data acquisition unit (DAU) has been developed with decades of experience and heavy investment in R&D. It's driven by hardwired finite state machines making it extremely reliable; while it's compact, low power design makes it ideal for installing in locations that have limited space.
- The KAM-500 unit comes in varying size and form factors - all KAM-500s comprise of the power supply (running of typical aircraft, 28V nominal, power supply), backplane and housing for your choice from the 100+ modules that ACRA CONTROL has developed to customise your ruggedised DAU to your specific needs. The KAM-500 can be used in applications ranging from a handful of channels through to widely distributed networked systems with hundreds of synchronised channels across large platforms.
- With a KAM-500 you are future-proofing your data acquisition system. You can always add new capability or expand your capability by adding modules to your equipment to meet emerging and future needs.
- In terms of reliability and durabilility, there are airborne KAM-500 systems that have been in almost continuous use for 10+ years and are expected to operate reliably and efficiently for many more to come.
- The KAM-500 has passed rigorous environmental testing ensuring it is fully qualified for aerospace applications, enabling rugged data acquisition in the harshest of environments.

GS Works 7
GS Works 7 is the real-time and post-test display and analysis ground station software suite (powered by IADS® technology) that has been designed from the ground up to meet the needs of the flight test community. GS Works 7 flight test software facilitates real-time mission analysis and raises situational awareness, safety monitoring, and test point clearance capabilities to a new level by utilizing tools previously available only within post-test environments.
GS Works' 7 ease of use, depth of display capability, and powerful analysis techniques can be used to save time and effort on any test program. This flexibility extends to GS Works 7 being scalable from a single laptop through to large workgroups using the integrated Client/Server software architecture.
Every data point is cached to disk allowing scroll back of the data through the time history while continuing to store data in real-time. This means a user can instantly recall any portion of the test data for display and analysis - including video playback and modifying derived equations – without affecting performance. Users can create customized displays in seconds using an interactive interface on multiple monitors. This flexibility allows displays, data, and analysis techniques to be built, tested and saved with little effort at any time during the mission or at the engineer's desktop.
GS Works 7 accepts input from multiple sources: ranging from real-time live data, recorded data and post test data providers, such as ACRA CONTROL's range of bit sync decom cards. It can export data into RAW, CSV, MS Excel and MATLAB formats.
GS Works 7 Features:
- All real-time activity recorded for replay and additional analysis
- Identical features in real-time and post test
- Large aggregate data rate
- Connects to widely available telemetry systems
- Runs on standard PCs
